Rebel yell from Waterlooville – recruiters Rafferty Resourcing grow in the town and across the UK ⚡

A team of rebels is putting the quiet Hampshire town of Waterlooville on the map.

Recruitment firm Rafferty Resourcing – who dub themselves rebels because of their no-nonsense, personal approach to looking after clients – is celebrating a host of national awards as well as a nine-year anniversary in Waterlooville.

Founder Jodie Rafferty was on hand to accept the prestigious Permanent Recruiter of the Year Award from the Recruitment and Employment Confederation (REC) in December. She was also highly commended personally in the Business Leader of the Year category.

Those awards were added to success for Jodie at the National Businesswomen’s Awards where she took silver in the Influential Businesswoman of the Year category.

Jodie said: “We were up against big national recruitment agencies at the REC awards and we won – proof that big things happen in Waterlooville, especially with us rebels.”

Nine years in the community

Jodie says “home is where the heart is” for Rafferty Resourcing and although they have grown a national profile being part of Waterlooville is very important to them.

“We are not just filling vacancies,” she said. “We don’t just work here, we live here and our kids to go to school here – we want to try to help the community. We enjoy doing the little things like spending time with people, helping them sort out their CV and pointing them to employers, even if they are not our clients.”

Jodie is pleased to see large-scale redevelopment in Waterlooville and believes it shows there are bigger things to come, for everyone. “There are some highly skilled people moving in – this is the place to live and work at the moment.”

What the customers say

“As an employer, we were struggling to find suitable applicants for a marketing role. After a discussion with Jodie she pointed us in the right direction and helped re-write the job specification to make the job more appealing in a jobs market where the skills we were looking for are in high demand. Jodie went on to present us with a short list of candidates who closely matched the job specification. This saved us time and effort in filtering unsuitable candidates and resulted in a successful job offer being made. Jodie excels in her field in a way that many other agents fall far short of the mark,” Rod – Managing Director

"Jodie gave honest advice and information on the role and I was fully supported throughout the whole interview process. It is refreshing to deal with a recruiter who works around what is best for you, remains honest and gives you the facts from the beginning. Jodie provided a fantastic candidate experience and took the hassle out of the application process which is what every candidate wants from a recruitment agency. Thank you so much!" Danielle – Business Development Manager

“Jodie is an amazing recruiter and I personally think she is the best around. She talked about the role I was applying for with such positivity and excitement that it made me want it straight away. When going to my interviews she had so much support for me, providing me with ways to cope with my nerves before the interview and sending me little good luck messages. With Jodie, she makes you feel like she has your back and that she has your best interests at heart. Jodie understands your skills, strengths and weaknesses and supports you in finding the right job,” Adrienne – Graphic Designer
